About
Rogue has been theatre obsessed since childhood, performing their first Shakespeare monologue in a school talent show at age 11. Since then they went on to study drama in a performing arts high school and then graduating from the University of Toronto (UCDP) in 2011 with a BA specializing in theatre and a minor in English.
As a cosplayer Rogue began in 2012 and since then has toured conventions across North America, hosting panels in a variety of topics such as: cosplay modelling, body paint 101, character building in addition to judging cosplay competitions, doing live body paint sessions and working with various YouTube channels. With a background in theatre and performance, cosplay was a natural way to continue performing on an almost daily basis.
In 2016, Rogue graduated the ASL-English Interpreting program at George Brown College. Immediately after graduation they began working in the field, specializing in arts based projects and the queer community.
Self-publishing their first novel in November 2018, titled Willow’s Story the launch took place at Glad Day Bookshop. A young adult novel set in a fantasy world, Willow’s Story explores darker themes of family, trauma and identity. You can purchase the novel here.
During the 2020 pandemic, Rogue began honing their make up skills in an effort to keep creative during isolation and has continued to play with makeup ever since. While they have yet to be back to the convention scene since the COVID-19 pandemic, they look forward to their return!
